Important Note: Be cautious of unusually low quotes. Some companies use rail freight, which is significantly delayed due to weather and infrastructure issues. Customers using rail are experiencing weeks-long waits for their belongings.

Some clients prefer to pack their own items, while others want a full-service experience. We offer Supply & Pack services - just ask and we’ll provide a separate quote for this option. Not sure how many boxes you’ll need? We’re happy to discuss and tailor the packing to suit your needs.
Special Items & Access Info
Have a piano or unusually large item? We’ll need to chat about full access details (every step matters when it comes to heavy and fragile items!). If we don’t have exact dimensions or access info, we may need to confirm with you to ensure accuracy and avoid overquoting.
How to Book
Love the quote? Simply accept our offer and we’ll send through a contract. A deposit secures your booking, and the remaining balance is due on pickup day. Full payment is required before delivery (EFT or credit card – note: 2.2% surcharge for card payments).
Insurance & Peace of Mind
Our trucks are covered for fire, collision, overturning, theft, and loading/unloading incidents, but we strongly recommend speaking to your home & contents insurer or let us connect you with a provider for extra protection. Extra insurance is always a wise choice for your valuables!
Delivery Timeframe
On most routes, your belongings will be delivered within a week. We do everything in our power to meet scheduled dates, but in rare cases, delays from traffic, breakdowns, or weather can occur. If this happens, you’ll be contacted immediately.

Quote is based on the inventory provided—additional or oversized items may incur extra charges.
Good access is required at both pickup and delivery points (less than 12 stairs, truck clearance, legal parking within 30m, etc.)
Lift access (apartments, offices, etc.) will have a small extra charge.

Cancellations & Refunds
Once your deposit is paid, you have 48 hours to cancel for a full refund provided your move is outside of 10 days. After that, the deposit is non-refundable as your spot is secured.
Generally speaking, if we have not scheduled your move with a move date there is a return of your deposit.

Good truck access?
Our quotes are based on good access unless noted at both premises, please see the following:
Good access is defined as no more than 1 flight of Stairs (less than 12 steps) also where semi-trailers, large trucks with trailers and light rigid trucks can safely and legally park within a 30m radius of your door. Please note that trucks need at least 3.8m - 4.3m height clearance. Low hanging tree branches, power lines and shrubs can impede access to your premises. We also need to be notified if your street, road, etc. has any load restrictions, we must have this information regarding access to your premises to ensure our quotes are accurate at the time of booking.All lift access relocations (whether a high rise, apartments, offices etc.) incur an additional charge due to the extra time taken to load/unload.In the event any access issues occur, this cost may be passed directly onto the customer, if you are unsure of your access please do not hesitate to contact one of our friendly staff to discuss this matter.
What if I have purchased the full use of truck?
The driver is responsible for the load & as such will advise you once they cannot load any further due to weight/load restrictions. Commonly this is not an issue, however it is important to make customers aware that our drivers themselves are responsible for the load by transport and main road authorities and its their duty to ensure your goods travel as safely as possible.
What if I have extra items?
If you have Extra items that you have missed on your inventory that you would like collected and delivered with the same load, those items will be calculated at current cubic meter rate and offered to you as an option to take on the day (provided we have the space to take them). You are most welcome to call our friendly team to discuss possible extras and cost for those prior to pick up date.
When is the remaining balance due?
Once items have been collected you will be invoiced for the remaining balance. We accept bank transfers. If a third party is paying we must be made aware in advance as full payment is required. In the event you ask us to carry out multiple instances of work, we will issue an invoice on each new request. You agree that we may retain a lien over your goods until payment in accordance with our terms and conditions is made in full.
What time will the truck arrive?
The driver will phone you the day prior for ETA unless it has been discussed that you will receive a call on the day. We will not be made aware until such time due to many factors such as, weather conditions, driver hours, fatigue management. We must adhere to these rules.
Packing tips
If possible please box all TVs. Vibration does occur in all trucks. If unable to pack in a box we will soft tie it to a mattress to absorb most of the vibration. Very Large TVs or Curved TVs please use TV boxes. Please dismantle goods that require to be dismantled - such as beds.
We do not recommend fragile or breakable items in plastic tubs as they are not a good replacement to packing boxes. Pictures / Mirrors / Frames - must be in picture boxes - wrapped / boxed appropriately.
Speakers / Stereos - Items as such must be wrapped in bubble wrap or boxed.
All drawers are to be empty as the added weight may compromise the structural integrity of the drawers, insurance will not extend to what is left in drawers and removalists may require drawers empty upon loading.
In relation to drawers - most customers leave tools in tool boxes for carriage. However tool boxes must not be overweight.
You must understand that wheels on tool boxes are not designed to be transported & carry weight. Overweight tool boxes we must use ratchet straps please note that depending on the quality of your tool box is dependent on how the tool box will travel.
FNQ Moving Company is not liable if you leave items inside goods.
Furniture is not designed to be transported with weight inside.
Please do not overpack boxes - keep standard boxes below 25 kilos of weight.
If you would like to have your mattresses fully covered in mattress plastics, we recommend you go to your nearest storage/box shop or hardware to purchase these.
Leave them off the mattress as they will be put on at the truck (likely).
If you have white furniture such as mattresses/white lounges, we recommend additional layers of protection such as mattress wraps/lounge plastics.
We have limited supply. Please ask if you are able to provide these or please pre-purchase.
Washing Machines! - Transit Bolts must be secured into the barrel of front loader machines. If not, we are not responsible for any damage to the machine. You would have received transit bolts when you purchased them.
Please do not pack wine bottles. If you must, please discuss with us prior. (They are not covered & the vibration from the road does not make them safe for transit, if they spill they will likely spread throughout the truck and may be liable for any damages caused to other freight).
